Throughout the years of video gaming, we have seen some horrible and sub-par games and we have also seen some classic and outstanding video games. Here are two of the best games to ever reach a video game console.
Grand Theft Auto III(PS2)- Grand Theft Auto changed the way a video game was played. forever. Being a long-time fan of action-adventeure games, GTA III really impressed me with its visuals, voice-acting, and storyline. When I first played this game, I was in awe. You could steal any car, mess with anybody you wanted and drove wherever you wanted to go. The voice-acting in this game is very impressive, just like in any Rockstar game. The voice-acting also brings in a very crisp and hilarious and mostly derogatory scenes. That is why the game was meant for teenagers 17 and up. Anyway, the game starts with your character(who has no name and cannot talk) and one of your buddies, 8 Ball. You both manage to escape from jail and find somewhere to stay, but you run into some trouble. Your ex-girlfriend shoots you and leaves you for dead. Gameplay-wise, this game can take a very long time to beat. The missions are sometimes very difficult, but fun at the same time. This game is one of best games to hit a console.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas(PS2, Xbox)- The second game I will be reviewing is hands-down, the best GTA game ever. You are Carl Johnson(better known as CJ). Your mother is killed by a street gang. When you are informed by your brother Sweet, you return to Los Santos where you meet up with your brother, and the rest of your family. What I like about this game is the storyline. This game should've been a movie. Anyway, the voice-acting is wonderful. You have a range of all-star actors, including Samuel L. Jackson as one of the officers in San Andreas. The graphics are ok, to say the least; not wonderful, but the game still looks good. This game will take you more than 20 hours to complete because it is so much to do in this game. You can take Carl to the gym to get him fit, or you can take him to Burger Shot everyday to make him overweight. The game is very realistic. There are plenty of areas where you can take CJ shopping as well. You can even customize cars and even add bass boost. Two players can also play, which is a genius addition to this game. It is very fun and addicting, and it can make you come back for more. This game will keep you occupied. The replay value is extremely high, especially if you are crazy enough too 100% this game. GTASA is a classic, and it cannot be avoided, even in this time of year.
