A UFO has landed in America near Vegas and the government agents are trying to track the aliens which have escaped from it. Elsewhere in Vegas Jack Bruno is working as a taxi driver when he gets two teenagers who have mysteriously got into the back of his taxi and asking for a ride.
Jack agrees to take them to their destination but as they don’t know where that is they have to give him directions. The journey is a long on and along the way they are tracked down by the government agents and the car gets smashed up but luckily they get away. Jack soon discovers when they arrive at their destination that Seth and Sara are no ordinary teenagers but are in fact the aliens which the government are looking for.
Will Jack be able to help Seth and Sara get to their ship to get home with the government chasing them and also an alien robot trying to stop their mission?
I have only given a very brief plot outline for this film and there is a little more to it, but I felt I would be spoiling it for those who have not yet seen the film if I was to give any more away.
I had no particular desire to watch this film and only actually did as there was nothing else on the television but I have to say I did actually enjoy it, more so as it was a children’s film, so there were no scary moments and as you can imagine nearly everything has a happy ending! I did find the storyline was good and easy to understand and I did not need to concentrate too hard to follow what was happening.
The acting for me was good and the lead role of Jack Bruno was played by Dwayne Johnson, he did a great job and made his character very believable. I liked the way he came across as a hard man with no feelings, but he just could not leave the children and was always prepared to help them as this showed he did have a softer side. He suited the role and his hard image came good when he had to fight and I thought he did a great job with the fight scenes. There was a good chemistry between Jack and both Sara and Seth, Jack took on a fatherly role to them and it was very believable. The roles of Sara and Seth were played by Anna Sophia Robb and Alexandra Ludwig and they too gave good performances. I though they worked well with the powers that they had and they did seem slightly wooden at times but this helped with us believing that they were aliens. I liked how both came across as strong but did allow a scared side to come out at times.
There were some good supporting actors in the film and we
