Poetry: What might have been

by Mayv 'SpearBourne' Amaia

Created on: June 10, 2010   Last Updated: September 04, 2011

What might have been
Remains such a mystery.

Do I dwell on such thoughts?
Shall I wallow in regret?

Or shall I do
What I know I must do?

What might have been
Will no longer weigh me down.

I must pick up the pieces
Of my broken heart

And reclaim my very soul
So that I
May live my life again.

I no longer wonder
What might have been,

But focus instead
On what will I will cause to be!
