Atheism as a religion

by Narnie

Created on: June 09, 2010

Atheist believing in a higher power might as well believe in something most people call “God” - because it is only the terminology that separates them! God, is little more than a name title for an “Energy Being” or Spirit Being We could without doubt categorize both these types of Beings as” electrical charges” or “current flows” of high-powered energy”; all are defined I believe as the same Being One (OBe – Out-of-Body Experience – defined: electrical currents generated from the human brain to transmit and receive electrical impulses or messages in the environment and carried along one current universally).

When one thinks logically about “religion”, it really only comes back to one thing – “something we submit ourselves too religiously”. From cleaning our teeth to eating a main meal at night could be seen as a “religious” act, a path we follow, usually each day. I believe the word “religion” is a stigma too attached to the principles and philosophies of Christianity, faiths and Godly beliefs. Furthermore, I believe if we eradicate the word “religion or religious” from our vocabulary, life would certainly be much easier in many ways. Dare I think to believe or even suggest that even wars might have been stopped had it not been for “religion”? No war I have ever learned of was in God’s name personally, most were under the guise of Christianity and Godliness with “religion” as the instigator and header.

With all that being said, maybe now we can begin to determine with clarity whether or not Atheism is in fact a “religion” or not. Whether it be that of motor enthusiasts, doctors, lawyers, Christians etc.

I consider myself a devout Christian, I am also a Metaphysician and my studies include a great deal of empirical research. However, in saying this, I do not share many of the viewpoints of Church Doctrine, particularly that of the Catholic Faith. My most painful experience of recent years was when I accidently learned the truth about the Church and its
