"Oh my....Can I get to heaven by being good?" That is the question. Hmmm...At the time of this writing the majority of participants have answered YES to this question. That is very disturbing-to say the least. The correct answer is a very strong, "NO, you can't get to heaven by being good!"  But you get go to hell by depending on your own goodness to get you there. Don't be deceived by one of the biggest lies from hell! You see, none of us are really "good". We're all born sinners in need of a Saviour. His name is JESUS. What a wonderful name, too.

The Bible says that we have all gone astray and we all fall short of the glory of God. That means that all of our so called goodness, including the good deeds that we do, are as filthy rags in the sight of God. (…and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags —Isaiah 64:6) So, the little 'ol lady down the street that bakes cookies every week for the Sunday School class; she never lies; she polite; always smiling; kind and loving is not good enough to get to heaven if that's what she's depending on to get her there. Her goodness alone is bound for hell. I know that sounds harsh, but the Bible does not lie! God's Word is true.

The whole world has sinned against God and there's nothing we can say on our own or do to make it right. We are separated from God at birth and every day forward we're fighting against HIM; running from HIM; and living in sin that separates us from HIM. We don't have to train up a child to do wrong because that's his  sin nature-at birth. We have to train the child to do right. The Christian parent will train up the child in the LORD according to Scripture and-hopefully-in time the child will have his/her spiritual eyes opened by the Holy Spirit and become a child of God.

In this world, there are two types of people-those that are saved and those that are lost; those that belong to God and those that belong to satan; those that are going to heaven and those that are going to hell. All the people who are being deceived by satan and his fallen angels into believing that all it takes is for them to be "good" to get to heaven are going to have a rude awakening when they die believing that lie.

By God's standard, we can never be good enough on our own to get to heaven. A sin stained person cannot and will not stand before God and enter into heaven. There was only one person who walked this earth that's good enough to stand before God and enter into heaven and that person is
