The subject here is "The case against illegal immigrants' rights". In order to properly debate this issue, I think I first need to establish exactly what "rights" we're talking about here. Most supporters of illegal immigrants always say that they are just good people who are here to work. So lets start with the good people who are just here to work. There are two ways an illegal immigrant can work in the US:
#1) They get fake identification and they go to work for large companies. Lets call these people W2 Workers. So I guess the question here is, should these W2 Workers have the right to commit Identity Fraud? Since Identity Fraud is a felony to all legal US Residence, then the answer would be NO! They should NOT have the right to commit Identity Fraud.
#2) They go to work on an under the table, cash only basis. So I guess the question here is...should Illegal Immigrants have the right to commit Tax Evasion? This one is also pretty simple. If the illegal immigrant makes more then $1500 per year, then NO! They should NOT have the right to commit Tax Evasion. All other legal US Residents would be charge with a federal crime. If however, they make less then $1500 per year, then the answer is YES! Current tax law does not require that you file a 1099 for people who made less then $1500 per year.
So that takes care of the workers. Lets address the others. First you have the gang bangers and drug dealers. They definitely should have the right to remain silent, because anything they say may be used against them in a court of law.
That only leaves the non-working, no money making people who "live off the state". I guess the question is..should these lazy illegal immigrants have the right to be supported MY country instead of their own. Lets see...should I have to support a bunch of lazy people who shouldn't be here to begin with? This is a little tougher. but NO! Hell NO!
Wow! Everybody always says illegal immigration is such a complicated issue. Seems pretty simple to me!
