Professional wrestling is a dangerous predetermined, yet remarkably real and intricately timed synchronization contest that requires training on both ends of the spectrum. The man or woman performing a maneuver needs to know how to properly administer the move, when to release, when to lift, and when to ask for help. That help comes in the form of the man or woman taking the move. While pro wrestlers are incredibly strong, few can perform their moves without the assistance of their opponent - like when Kevin Nash powerbombed larger men like Sid Vicious, the Undertaker, and the Giant. While Nash is physically strong, he needed assistance from his opponent in the form of pushing up, helping stabilize their weight while doing a sit-up upside down to bring their body up. As it sounds, it is a complicated process that has very little room for error. An ordinary bump in professional wrestling like a scoop slam can have devastating consequences to an untrained and unprepared bump taker.
As evidenced in many home videos of teenage boys "working" in their parent's backyard, most of these adolescent children cannot fully comprehend the complexities of professional wrestling and the dedication it takes to do simple things like running the ropes in a pro ring. These children, and sometimes, young adults risk their lives, and those of there opponents when they start to throw random suplexes and powerbombs. None of them have been properly trained how to take a bump - you would be surprised about the rigorous training involved to just learn how to fall properly. The human body isn't meant to be slammed around, if it were, we'd have an exoskeleton. Some of these overly inspired children have landed themselves into early retirement via severely broken bones, while others have been ultimately carried by six.
Another very dangerous element of children engaging in backyard wrestling is a dimension that comes with being a child - imagination. A group of hormonally imbalanced teenage boys getting bored from wrestling just on an old discarded mattress will undoubtedly decide to up the ante and involve tables, ladders, and chairs - all of which are ungimmicked. Youtube videos exist of said boredom and extreme backyard wrestling. Obviously, the boys have seen this type of wrestling before, which is accurately titles, garbage wrestling. Because that's exactly what it is, garbage. Independent promotions
