Tuna and Onions Omelet is delicious and easy to make. A delicious amount of hash browns, fried rice, white rice, or brown rice would make this a grand meal for breakfast.
Ingredients:
1 tbsp margarine or butter
1 round yellow onion, coarsely chopped
3 stalks of green onion, diced
1 can of water-based tuna, thoroughly drained
4 eggs, scrambled
¼ cup 2% milk
1 tbsp black pepper
1 tbsp garlic salt
First, heat your stove and allow butter or margarine to melt thoroughly into the frying pan. Slowly add your coarsely chopped yellow onions and cook through until onions appear translucent.
Second, add in your can of water-based tuna. To ensure better results make sure you drain thoroughly the tuna. You do not want a watery omelet.
In a separate bowl, add the following ingredients, diced green onion, 4 scrambled eggs, and ¼ cup of 2% milk, black pepper, and garlic salt. Mix thoroughly until eggs are fully mixed. Be sure the black pepper and garlic salt are not clumped up in wads of balls in the mixture. The seasonings should be well blended to affect the full flavor.
Finally, add a little more butter or margarine to the pan to avoid burning or sticking. Add in your egg mixture and cook. Allow the bottom of the omelet to cook through. This allows you easier handling and control of flipping the omelet over in the pan without spilling or breaking the shape of the omelet.
After cooking simply slide off onto a platter or plate to serve with your favorite starch; and if you wish meat product.
Tip: Stir fry some fried rice or simply use white or brown rice as a starch for this dish. Be sure to serve hot. If you use white or brown rice, shoyu or soy sauce is delicious additive for the dish.
