The Love That Didn’t Reach

Can someone tell me why
I’m feeling this way inside?
And can someone explain why
All I want to do is cry?
I never saw it coming
Cause you had me under your spell,
Baby, when I asked you
You just wouldn’t tell,
I know there’s someone else
That you are seeing,
But I can’t help the
Way that I’m feeling.

I thought I could change your mind
But I was the love that didn’t reach,
And now you’re giving your love
To someone else instead of me,
Sitting at home wishing for you
Don’t know why you didn’t want me,
Baby, my heart’s breaking in two
And all because my love couldn’t reach.

Baby, tell me all the reasons
Why you didn’t want me around,
And then listen to the sounds
Of my heart breaking down,
Down
Down.

I thought I could change your mind
But I was the love that didn’t reach,
And now you’re giving your love
To someone else instead of me,
Sitting at home wishing for you
Don’t know why you didn’t want me,
Baby, my heart’s breaking in two
And all because my love couldn’t reach.
