“I’m fine,” he’d quip,
talking on,
giving me lip.
He can’t admit,
his problems or fears.
Someday he may shed,
an ocean of tears.
For good times gone,
and opportunities lost.
His ego high,
with advice he’s tossed.
At the wrong place,
and at the wrong time.
He’s cut by a knife,
for being slime.
What will it take,
to make him see.
He needs to change his ways,
so desperately.
He’ll find a girl,
that he can walk on.
And if she’s smart,
she’ll soon be gone.
He’ll never wince,
because he’s the prince.
And he’ll never change,
he’s always so vain.
He thinks he’s well-liked,
and fools everyone else.
And we all know that,
he’s kidding himself.
With illusions and lies,
his defenses high.
He’ll never be conquered,
because he’s the cool guy.
