Centennial Olympic Park is home of the 1996 Centennial Olympic games, and features the world's biggest Olympic Ring fountains. This 21-acre park offers concerts, family activities, and fun festivals year round for guests and locals. Imagine It! children's museum also resides at the park, offering fun and learning activities for all ages. The park is absolutely breathtaking, with lush green grass and plenty of large trees.
No trip to Atlanta is complete without taking a visit to the Georgia Aquarium. It is the world's largest aquarium, with more than 8 million gallons of aquatic animals.You'll be astonished at the marvelous creatures you'll see, including the world's largest fish, hammerhead sharks, sea lions,sea turtles,and a whale shark.
Tours are available at CNN Atlanta, where you get the chance to experience news from around the world as it is being made. During the 55 minute exhibition you can get behind the scenes of all the action, including tours inside the control room and the special effects studio. This is the headquarters of CNN Worldwide.
Who can forget Six Flags when talking about Atlanta? Six Flags over Georgia is an award-winning amusement park that has something people of any age will enjoy doing. Six Flags features huge wooden roller coasters, children's rides like Thomas the Tank and beautiful carousels; and water rides and water parks, including the Cliffhanger, one of the largest free-falls in the world. There are daily shows and special activities in addition to the rides, as well as fantastic dining options and a gift shop. Six Flags is an adventure waiting for you.
But the fun things in Atlanta doesn't stop there! While in Atlanta be sure to visit Little Five Points. Little Five Points has plenty of shopping, art, and dining. You'll find stores offering vintage clothing, fantastic artwork, boutiques, and more. There are also some great options for nightlife adventures, with plenty of bars and night clubs in the area. Little Five Points is located nearby residential neighborhoods in a wonderful Atlanta area, so in addition to the great activities, just touring the area is a fun adventure.
