We said goodbye with words
But never in our hearts
What we were working towards
Was nothing
But dust in my hands
Was I more
Than just a piece of flesh
In your eyes
More than just a girl
But a woman
To say goodbye
On such a day
Beauty surrounded me
Not touching
The misery inside
You tried to pacify me
Telling me
That you still loved me
Then why break my heart
Why is it over
Look what you’ve done
To me
A hollow shell
Of a once
Whole person
Saying goodbye
With tears in my eyes
You held me tight
With lifeless arms
Not caring about my pain
You took all
Of my heart
And now
I have nothing left
To give
