2010 Belmont Stakes Contenders: A Dashing Dozen

The 2010 roster of contenders for the 142nd Belmont Stakes Thoroughbred horse race includes 12 three year olds.

Intriguingly, the Belmont Stakes does not include either of the winners of the other two Triple Crown horse races. Super Saver, the 2010 Kentucky Derby winner, and Lookin At Lucky, the 2010 Preakness Stakes winner, will not race in the Belmont Stakes.

The third jewel in Thoroughbred horse racing’s famous Triple Crown, the $1 million Belmont Stakes will be held on Saturday, June 5th at Belmont Park, in Elmont, New York.

Ice Box, First Dude and Fly Down are early favorites for the Belmont Stakes in 2010.
