*~Secret Oasis~*
How many times
I have noticed you
And catching my breath
I am caught off-guard
thinking I must be crazy
In some little way
I keep it well-hidden
(At least I think)
Pushed away
To the point
Where in my mind
I ignore you
Just a little.
You intrigue me
In the deepest sense

Your sensitivity

I admire you from afar
Though you will never know
Because even I know
how unrealistic these thoughts are.
I keep it locked tight
And let it out carefully
When I am alone
To look at it from all sides
And wonder why it exists.
Perhaps just a diversion
For a heart too scarred
To give all to reality
The alternative
Not even to be considered.
