Poetry: Come to me

by Allyn Smith

Created on: June 03, 2010

They will come to me

When the rock spears the earth
and the vials are poured
out of the catacombs
And messengers seer
in the trumpets and woes

casting fires of discernment
Those in the depths of land and sea
dressed in pure white
will come to Me

When the secrets are told
And the jackal laughs
so hilariously
And Babylon sits
on seven hills boldly
casting forth desecration
Those who are poor and hard to see
dressed in pure white
will come to Me

When the stars fall like rain
And the moon turns black
in the darkness of pain
And trees hide their bud
from the withering dust
casting forth tribulation
Those in their trials amidst the spree
dressed in pure white
will come to Me

When the spider denies
the strength of My hand
in the sticky web
that captures the fly
in abomination
casting his desolation
Those numbered like the sand of the sea
dressed in pure white
will come to Me

When riding My white stead
and all My glory
is seen by friend and foe
and righteous anger
brighter than seven suns
has cast forth My victory
Those nations left of earth and sea
bowing in honor
will come to Me
