Poetry: Insomnia

by Melly Kenny

Created on: June 01, 2010

Tick,
Tock,
Tick,
Tock.

The clock goes round and round.
No matter how hard I try to dream,
I fail at sleeping sound.

The world seems to be silent,
Racing, spinning around.
There's no stopping time, it seems.
Nothing can drowned the sound.

If only I could close my eyes,
and dream the sweetest dreams.
Unfortunately all I see, is  terrorising scenes.

Thoughts of money, stress and love,
all come crumbling down.
My mind needs to slow down pace,
I just don't know quite how!
