Whom will I tell the events of my day?
Who will laugh at my jokes, even though they are not funny?
Who shoulders will I cry on when I have been wounded in spirit?
I hope that I will find that special someone
Someone to share my joys and sorrows
Someone who will just listen, without making a sound
Someone who will hold me on the coldest day in the winter
Someone who will fan me on the hottest day in the summer
Someone who will love me just because
If only time could speak, then it would say
Only time will tell if this is to be
Only time will tell what is waiting for me
Just wait

If I have earned
every line on my
face.
Only time will tell
If enduring was
worth it.
Only time will tell
