Fenway Park has been labeled by some as the prettiest sight in all of baseball. However, there is one disadvantage to the park's structure. Several of the seats have obstructed views because of poles that are installed to keep part of the park up. So you need to figure out where exactly are the best seats? The rest of this article will talk about that and in no particular order.
Behind home plate
The absolute best seats are of course directly behind home plate. From home plate you can see all of the action on the field and exactly where each ball is going to be hit. There is a net directly behind home plate so don't plan on catching foul ball unless you want to go anywhere else in the park.
Along the first and third base lines
Sitting directly behind the dugout or anywhere down the first and third baselines is the next best option for getting good seats at Fenway. There are no bars on the fence so anywhere in the front row are the absolute best seats are in the front row of either the upper or lower deck.
One of the main disadvantages of Fenway is the lack of leg room and extremely tight seats. There have also been some additional seats which were added before the season last year along the third baseline
Monster seats
You need to enter a lottery just to get these seats. The major up side to getting monster seats is there is much more leg room and there is also a bar specifically for customers who sit on the Fenway seats.
Not only are there seats specifically for the monster but there are also additional tables in the monster area in case you don't want to eat the game from your seat.
If you win the lottery to sit here and are afraid of heights you may want to consider trading the tickets for somewhere else. The Green Monster is 37 feet high and it over 300 feet away from home plate. So prepare to look down to watch the game.
Other outfield seats
Any seat in centerfield will be a good seat. The reason for this is because in centerfield there are no bars which obstruct the view of the action. The only obstruction could be that giant sitting in front of you. There are plenty of sluggers on the Red Sox so your chances of getting a ball are good.
What is the best thing to get a good Fenway seat?
Before ordering tickets look at a copy of the map of the stadium. Be mindful of where the poles are. If you are aware of that every seat is a good view. Here are the ticket prices for Fenway according to http://www. RedSox.com. It should be noted that ticket prices at other web sites may vary.
