When you are going to a NASCAR race, it is important to make sure that you wear the right things, otherwise it could be a very uncomfortable day for you.  This article will explain what you should wear to a NASCAR race.  The following items are in no particular order, as they are all important to wear to a NASCAR race.

>> Hat <<

Bringing a hat to the racetrack is a good idea, especially if it is a bright day out.  Without a hat you would find that it is very frustrating to sit and squint at the race for a few hours with the sun in your eyes.

>> Sunglasses <<

Bringing sunglasses also help to keep the sun out of your eyes, so that you can fully enjoy the day.

>> Sunscreen <<

Unless you want to be sunburnt for days after the race, you should wear sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun.  After all, you're going to be outside for several hours.

>> Tennis Shoes <<

There is some walking involved (especially depending on where you parked), so it is always nice to wear comfortable shoes.  Wearing tennis shoes (or some kind of other shoe that you find easy to walk in) is a good idea because you also have to find your seat, which means climbing stairs.  I don't really think you would want to climb stadium stairs in flip-flops!

>> Ear Plugs or a Scanner with Headphones <<

If you are going to your first NASCAR race, you may think to yourself, "They're just cars, they can't be too loud."  Well, you better think again!  NASCARs are honestly the loudest cars I have ever heard!  Speaking from experience, it is incredibly important that you bring some kind of ear protection.  You can bring the traditional ear plugs to keep your ears safe, or even better a scanner with headphones.

A scanner allows you to listen to the radio frequencies being broadcasted at the track, meaning that you can listen to the driver and their crew talking to each other.  You can also listen to the announcers and the live radio broadcast of the race.

Some scanners even have a built-in LCD screen so that you can view what is being shown of the NASCAR race on TV as well as other things.  Be sure to bring big, protective headphones with your scanners.  Scanners not only protect you ears, but help to inform you about what is going on at the race!

>> Apparel Supporting Your Favorite Driver <<

And of course, be sure to wear a shirt, a jacket, or some other type of clothing that shows who your favorite driver is at the race!

Whether you will be going to a NASCAR race for the first time, or you are a long-time fan, be sure that you wear the right things so that you can have a great day at the racetrack.
