The Nevada U.S. Senate primary is June 8, 2010 and with that many Nevadans are waiting with hope that this primary will be the beginning of the end of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Reid has lead Nevada down the road of special interest and ignoring the people of Nevada.  Its time to get some new blood in Washington that will work for Nevada not special interest.

One of the major problems with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is that he has failed to bring all the projects to his home state as so many other senators have done. Meaning Nevada has missed many valuable assets for our state while he has lined his pockets through his special deals. As senator of Nevada, it is his duty and responsibility to take care of our state and he has continually made choices that went against what the people of Nevada needed and wanted.

He voted for President Obama health care when over 50% of Nevadans stated they did not want it. How is that representing the people of Nevada? He pushes through deals and ideas like the bridge over the Colorado, however fails to mentioning that he just happens to own 160 acres there that would raise dramatically in property value with the proposed bridge.

He repeatedly is calling for more transparency in political realm, yet makes no effort to do it himself especially when it has the potential to line his pockets. In prior years Reid has boast about how much money he has earmarked for HIS constituents.

Yet, according to an article in the New York Times: "When pressed about his position on earmarks in an interview on public television in January, Reid acknowledged abuses, but added: 'There's nothing basically wrong with earmarks. They've been going on since we were a country.'  So that makes everything OK?

The latest Rasmussen report shows that when Reid is paired with Sue Lowden, Lowden receives more than 52% of the votes and when Reid is polled next to Danny Tarkanian, Tarkanian takes over 51% of the votes. While this is good news for Nevada, Reid still claimed to a reporter "if the election were held today, I'd win. Do the math." Showing his arrogance in his position in the state even when 47% of polled voters have an unfavorable view of this Democratic incumbent.

The people of Nevada have spoken loud and clear that it is time that Harry Reid needs to retire gracefully. Let Nevada recover from the economic hardships that have been exasperated by President Obama and carried out by Harry Reid
