One thing I know is that the Bible has never changed throughout the ages.  It is the same today, and forever more. The Bible says all have fallen  short of the glory of God.  One cannot go to heaven just by being good.  

That's one of the reasons why  the Bible also says "that people perish for lack of knowledge" and this is very true.  For knowledge is the bane of wisdom.  we should be knowledgeable in all things, I believe both spiritually and earthly. The Bible says that man cannot get into heaven by good deeds or works alone.  

One has to become brand new and put aside his/her  own nature and be born again . Of course one cannot enter into their mother's womb again.  It merely means one has to become "saved" this means one will have to know the teachings from the Bible, through fellowship with other Christians, from a teaching and believing church or some outreach group that goes about preaching to the masses around where one lives and afar.  This is called evangelizing, which is teaching the word of God .  This is done through Bible studies or even by giving out  tracks with scriptures pertaining on how to receive salvation.  

Ephesians2:8-9 says "For by grace are ye saved, through faith and not of yourselves it is the gift of God.  Not of any works lest any man should boast."   God said this so God means it.  For the Bible says in Luke 5:32" I came not to call the righteous but  sinners to repentance."  The Bible says there will be a second coming of the the Lord; and when he comes he will ask everyone what did they do in his name, while on earth he will know the hearts of those who are true and not  true. The truthful ones will go to heaven with him. So man should not think that good deeds like giving money to charities, being kind or neighbourly will get  him or her into heaven. 

I don't know how some people, and there are many  thousands of people who believe in false doctrines, are at present being led astray by the world and all the earthly materialistic things, like the latest mobile phone, television etc.  They have let these things become their gods.
