Whispering in the ever present dusk
My pale skin shines like crystal in the soft starlight
Silky hair glows smooth as glass in the gentle moonlight.
I am beautiful.
A fawn trapped in a forest filled with hunters
A lamb caught within a pack of wolves
Innocence unbound by bloodshed and womanhood
I wield my blades with deadly fury.
In fluid motions I swim through the air
Dancing with silken speed
Sleek metal blades seek a target
Leaping with the wind I pounce with the ferocious accuracy
Of a white tiger.
I have not come to be defeated.
The razor sharp edge of death
Comes within mere moments of my armor.
A graceful step and narrow miss
I reach into the heated depth of battle
You are mine
Wrapping my arms around you
Light as a snowflake
I am in the air
To rain a blow upon your back
Leap to the sky again
Landing you to the ground
As your knees buckle under the weight of my power.
I land three hellish blows with my iron clad heel
Taken aback as the third is blocked
And countered with frightening fury.
The battle must be mine.
Back away and act the rabbit
Waiting for my prey to close in
Watching your muscles tense
I have one chance
But your mistake is made
I am a wolf in sheep's clothing
And you only saw that in the moment
When you charged for you kill
To find yourself locked in my cage
My trap was set.
I feel the pulse of your heartbeat in the crook of my arm
Your chin resting upon my elbow
Your fingers clawing for mercy against my armor
Mercy is for the weak.
I raise my blade to the fading starlight
And thrust downward
Piercing skull and life
Downward not stopping the motion
Until it is done.
An iron clad foot upon the corpse's back
To free my blade of its sheath of death
The reek of blood permeates the air
Begone.

Whispering in the ever present dusk

A warrior...
To fight for what is just and true.
A warrior...
To stand as a hero among the people.
A warrior...
To face death
