Scrapbook page ideas: 4th of July

The Fourth of July is a special holiday, which is emblazoned in the memories of many people.  One great way to commemorate this holiday is to make a scrapbook page dedicated to it.  You will have many choices in how to decorate this and you are only limited by your own creativity.  The following are some great Fourth of July scrapbook page ideas.

Fireworks page

One great way to make this theme come to life is to have a fireworks theme.  You can use glitter paint or glue to make easy fireworks of all different colors.  You could then place photographs in the middle of these fireworks or decorate with the pictures in other places.  You can also put in other pictures of fireworks from magazines or other sources.

Photographs of fond Fourth of July memories

Many people do something special every Fourth of July.  It is different for different people.  Some might set off their own fireworks while others might go to a community event.  No matter what you have done, you probably have taken pictures.  You could place these pictures in the scrapbook. One nice idea would be to put in pictures from all different Fourth of July celebrations.  This would be good if you have children and you can show how they have grown as the years have gone by and how the Fourth of July festivities changed.  You could put in little captions below the photographs.

Place in mementoes from previous Fourth of July celebrations

There are many mementoes that might bring sweet nostalgia about these holidays.  For instance, if you went to a town celebration and received a program, you might want to place that in the scrapbook.  You can also put in a small box from some fireworks that you used (but of course make sure that you do not put any live fireworks that could go off in there).  These can be fun to see something that you actually used during a Fourth of July celebration.

Place in stories of past Fourth of July holidays

It is nice to place in stories of special times from the past.  You can write about your child’s first Fourth of July celebration for instance.  You could write about the time you set off fireworks for the entire neighborhood.  You could place in photos and pictures to accompany your stories.

You can include other Fourth of July embellishments such as stickers, ribbons and more to finish it up.  Try one or several of the above ideas to make a fantastic Fourth of July scrapbook page.
