Just A Thought
I smile at the memory of you
then the pain sets in the tears begin
memories of how it felt to Love you fill me
then I know I won't be seeing you again.
Swirling round and round in my head
that night before we went to bed
we argued over silly things
that make no difference now in time
but then they hurt like hell.
The next day you walk out the door
guitar dragging on the floor
I never thought no never thought never thought
I'd see you no more.
Then the pain sets in
the tears begin
I have memories of how it felt to Love you
I can't do no more memories
so I do the next thing in my head
open that bottle
swallow those pills
lay my head down go to hell.
The next day you walk out the door
guitar dragging on the floor
I never thought no I never thought never thought
I'd see you no more.
I open my eyes
a doc nods his head
says he got there just in time
as you sit at my side next to the bed
You look at me and say
I couldn't live another day with just the thought
of you in my head
no not the thought not just a thought forever a thought
of you in my head.
