One Year Alone Without You
My man left a year ago today,
You;ve been so long away
I didn’t think I could dot it
But I’ve made it all the way.
My Ormie is gone, but not in spirit
He is with me all the way.
Your body is gone but not the rest
You are with me every day.
I remember so many things
Your smile and your gentle ways
I could never have had a better man
Or a more perfect husband in every way.
I remember you iin so many ways
And wish every day you were here
You left a big hole in my life, you know,
And I have shed many a tear.
But I knew you would expect me
To go ahead with my life in style
You/d be proud of me today, I’m sure
How I’ve lived on without you this while.
I have missed you every day you;'e been gone
I will never forget my great man
The father of my kids, and my hero
This husband of mine, my man.
Some told me to fins someone new
But nobody can take your place,
I will always remember my l man
I will never forget your sweet face.
You were my world and will always be,
No matter how old I might get,
You are with me forever, not really gone,
Ad I will have no regrets.

Poetry: After all these years

After all these
Years
You kept
The words of
My heart standing high
Locked in
Your soul tall
You still
Agree
Fixed mountains
So many, many, years ago
We made our vows so clear
To love, cherish, honour
For God above to hear...
Our faces were unmarked
