Your skin can sometimes get stressed out and dry, but it can be relieved by making a lavender oatmeal bath using ingredients from your kitchen. Not only will the lavender oatmeal bath help relieve your stressed out skin, but it will also help relax any sore muscles in your body, and calm your spirit.

The ingredients you will need to the lavender oatmeal bath will be 2 cups of ground oatmeal, 20 drops of lavender oil, and 1 cup of buttermilk powder. All these ingredients can be found at any local health food store and herbal store. You can even sometimes find them in your local grocery store. If you can’t find ground oats you can simply take 3 cups of rolled oats and ground them in your blender or food processor to get your 2 cups of ground oats.

The way you will make the lavender oatmeal bath is by taking your 2 cups of ground oatmeal and pour them into a medium mixing bowl. Next you will place 20 drops of the lavender oil directly over the ground oatmeal and pour in the 1 cup of buttermilk powder. After you will take wire whisk and whisk the ingredients together until you get a powdery lavender scented oatmeal bath mixture. Once you have made your lavender oatmeal bath mixture you can pour it into a plastic container and store it away for up to two weeks by your bathtub or a full month in your refrigerator until you are ready to use it.

Now to make the lavender oatmeal bath to soak in you would fill your tub up with warm or hot water and pour in 1 cup of the bath mixture right into the bathwater and allow it to completely dissolve. After you will get into the tub and allow the lavender aroma to relax your spirit, the warm water to ease your sore body, and the oatmeal to help relieve your stressed out skin and hydrated it again. The best amount of time to soak in the lavender oatmeal bath is around 30 minutes to an hour. I know I like to stay in the bath as long as I can to receive the most benefits from the lavender oatmeal bath and especially after a stressful day.

Now if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in this lavender oatmeal bath I do not recommend you use this bath recipes to help soothe your stressed out skin. If your allergic to lavender oil you can replace it will another essential oil like chamomile or peppermint. If your allergic to the oatmeal simply use more buttermilk powder instead because buttermilk will help condition and relieve stressed out skin as well. If your allergic to the buttermilk powder you can use goat’s milk powder instead. There are alternative ingredients you can use to help make this bath recipe work to relieve your stressed out skin.

So, remember next time your skin becomes stressed out and dry to make up a batch of these wonderful lavender oatmeal bath to help soothe your skin, relax your body, and calm your spirit. I wish you all a stress free couple of hours during your warm relaxing lavender oatmeal bath.
