Marketing success can be measured in terms of business growth, amount of profit gained and additional income earned. Search engine optimization and quality content are of prime importance to online success, whether an article is posted on a blog, featured on a business webpage, included in an article directory or created for a revenue sharing website. The value of SEO and quality content should never be underestimated.

Internet marketing with search engine optimization is the key to getting any web content noticed. Without it there will be a disappointing number of visitors and little or no traffic coming from search engines.
Marketing success comes from using keywords that will target potential customers or new clients for a business. It is more important to use SEO to attract people who are Googling, or using any search box, rather than aiming to increase general traffic. When keywords match exactly or are close to what is typed in, the content will be viewed by people who are actively seeking what is supplied by the business or advertised alongside the content.
SEO applies to online video, audio and photos, as well as to text. When the right keywords are used in tags, titles and descriptions of what can be viewed or heard online, this should increase the ranking in search results and will target the right audience for that content.
Creating links leading back from other websites is also part of SEO. Linking back is beneficial for marketing online, and do-follow backlinks make content more visible in search results.

Quality writing and other types of content can shared, bookmarked and recommended online. Marketing material can go viral when a link is spread through social media networks and bookmarking sites. Quality content also gets linked back from other websites and blogs.
Visitors are unlikely to click ads or use a business when content is difficult to read and poorly presented. Poor quality text appears in solid blocks, when it is not set out in brief points and paragraphs. Text stuffed full of keywords does not make easy reading. Quality text is easier to navigate when it is concise and comprehensive. Quality images and videos are easier to view when they are crisp and clear.
Anyone involved in online business should know how to use SEO and quality content to increase profits. With SEO and quality content, more web visitors click links in ads or in text, opt to subscribe to marketing emails or become followers. Site visitors will bookmark and share links in social networks, so more success in online business will be achieved, when marketing material is easy to find and of a quality that can be appreciated.
