Chuvash man, don't be sad,
This is time to cheer up,
Make it rhyme, start a song,
I will try to catch up.
I'll be singing along
With a maze of your tongue,
Swaying soft, going strong,
From the dusk till the dawn.
I won't need to translate,
I will feel melody
Melting heart like a slate,
As if sugar in tea.

Of the struggle, curfew
And of love to the end.
Chuvash man, smile your smile,
Though it fits you so well
Just to rise like a sun
Over your homeland.

Lift your voice on high that I might hear thee,
