Going Too Far
"...Valhalla, I am coming!..." -Led Zeppelin
Real feminists do not support pornography. Of males or females. How could feminist views on pornography have gone too far, when it is a lucrative mega zillion business? Besides, we are not talking about grown women suddenly going porn. We also are not talking about sexually abused girls and boys. Why? Nobody knows how to deal with it. That's why we have a huge pornography industry as well as 14 year old prostitutes strutting the streets of Phoenix.
Thanks to the first amendment, feminists can and often do voice their opinions. Thanks to the mainstreaming of feminism, changing anything is quite nearly impossible. Because while a feminist might not have a degree and a position, there are many non feminists who do. Interesting. There are also a lot of women married to pedophiles.
Good luck with the pornography.
I am aware of many women who hold degrees and work in various capacities who do not identify themselves as feminists. Many of them look down on me. I've been an interesting character in my fifty years. No doubt about it, my opposition was crude, heinous and numbered. I still accomplished my mission and honed my acting skills without becoming a prostitute or piece in a magazine, though I did do a stint as a stripper. (I've known strippers with more sense than church lady and other pillars.)
The viewing of femininity in all its naked glory is not a new phenomenon. King David himself took a serious romp into voyeurism, ending up with a wife and a kid.
Pornography is, without a doubt, demeaning as all get out. But so is being controlled by groups of incestuous women and their knuckle headed men.
What some folks don't seem to understand is that there is alot of politics that go into the making of a whore, a piece of ass, and it is a process which begins with the sexually molestation of a girl. An innocent girl. Pornography is merely a symptom of a very old and profoundly damaging politics.
Now, were I a lawyer, defending a sleaze bag involved in the making of pornography, I would point out, and rather heavily, that the women involved were of age and therefore capable of making decisions. This is, after all, the United States of America and thanks to feminism, women can and often do think for themselves and make decisions for themselves. Some of these women have had their minds screwed out, but hey, handicap is human.
