The very question is completely leading. It is not a matter of whether or not America is "ready" for Socialism. Any country is ready at any time for any political system. The question is, does America want socialism, and furthermore, is it even legal, as in, is it Constitutional?

The answer to both of those questions is of course, no. The reason America is not a full-blown socialist state is because socialism does is not compatible with our form of constitutional republican government, and is therefore, by nature, un-American.

However, America is slowly becoming socialist, and it is creeping into our system and infecting it with the Red bug right under our noses. I have heard many figures thrown around. America is a full half socialist. No, America is only a third socialist.

Whatever the real number may be, the point is that socialism is unconstitutional, it is infecting our system and our nation, and it must be destroyed before it engulfs America. A socialist America is not America. It is a different country entirely.

So to answer the main question, no America is not ready for socialism, nor will it ever be. While socialists love to put a smiley-face on their blood soaked ideology, which took hundreds of millions of lives in the 20th century alone, it is easy to see through the veneer of the slick socialist propagandists. Socialism, no matter what is said about it, has nothing to do with helping the working man.

Rather, it takes off the so-called chains of capitalism, and instead of setting him free, restrains him and steals his liberties with the much heavier chains of oppressive government and Marxism.

The American revolutionaries fought for freedom. Our country is based on freedom. Socialism, however, is not freedom, it is slavery masquerading as liberation - a cruel hoax, really.

What America is ready for is a return to real small-government, free market freedom, not the big government, nanny state, Stalinist "freedom" of the left. Only when Americans break free from the chains of ignorance and enlighten themselves to the fact that Socialism is a truly evil ideology, hell bent on the subversion and curtailing of liberty, will we be able to move back towards real freedom.

The freedom that George Washington fielded Continental armies to fight for - the free market and Capitalism, not Socialist central planning. Please, America, awake, and fight for real liberty! Crush socialism where it stands!
