As human nature acknowledges the information era surge, the World Wide Web has established itself as the foundation tool of enhanced business understanding and access to information. However literacy is an essential before anybody indulges into the act of putting pen to pen as it is traditionally called, there is need to have seen the inside of a classroom or lecture hall. That put aside, the internet is another subsidiary of the literacy programme that is associated more with information technology and is very dynamic with each passing day seeing the evolution of new devices and software dedicated to simplifying work and human access to information.
Writing articles over the internet to market a particular business or activity is a good strategy in a fast growing economy that believes and embraces technology. Internet access is a necessary cost but yet to be availed to majority of developing nations of the world. Also the nature of the business or activity written about matters a lot in which a certain target audience is sought. For example, the automobile industry is best suited for written articles over the internet as a marketing tool. Whereas an activity like brick laying employees is best marketed over print media in a local language of the natives in which it is situated since it is labour intensive and manual.
For effective communication in article writing, the target audience has to be well thought , and then the message packaged and tailored to suit the audience. One of the biggest blunders in modern day communications by some organizations is the aspect of good material but poorly presented. It’s like serving milk tea with fruits in the same dish for lunch. Therefore, to safeguard against such grave mistakes, we need to be thoughtful and precise of what we intend to communicate to the public.
Articles for the internet must have eye catching precise headings or titles and the opening phrases should pull the readers more closely and draw them to the body of the subject. Use of unnecessary examples should be avoided and where possible, put accompanying photos to enhance your message comprehension. Avoid insulting or offending language since the internet is a globally accessed service; mind the factors of other social cultural factors like religion, tribes and practices.
Always have a positive attitude and confidence in writing the articles since you should first be convinced before you can convince others. Put yourself in a situation where you are presenting a paper on your product or services to a gathering, use the common or possible questions consumers ask and listen to your inner self to create a question and answer situation in your article.
