I think I'm falling. I'm drowning; flying through the air with no safety net.
I hear laughter, whispers as a slip slowly away from reality and into my own world of hurt and pain.
I close my eyes and wait for the earth to crash down around me; all I hear is the sound of my heart.
Through swollen red eyes I take a peek and see her shadow standing over me.
She stays silent, her love needing no words. Her heart on her sleeve.
She lifts me up and holds me close, because a sisters love can cure anthing.

Little Sister
She is the younger me
The lively one of the pack
The fun one I used to be
She is the attention getter

Karen and Jo, one August born and the other, a September birth
One grows up wanting to be heard, 'I want to do things my

And yet it seems I cannot fly.
My wings pinned down, the strings attached.
I tug for freedom

A Sister's Love
A mysterious thing
but not a guarantee
is a sister's love
when it's grown from seed
A wondrous beginning
