And I said 'hold me'
you said 'forever'
you said 'scared?'
i said 'never'
and we lay there
we had it all
neither thinking
that we might fall
from love's edge
from the top
we promised eternity
we couldn't stop
you said 'I love you'
and i replied 'you more'
and we lay awake dreaming
of the eternity in store

The world is a fast pitching ball
Coming at me troubled speed
Will I foul up, miss or strike out?
Give it or take perhaps
And I said 'hold me'
you said 'forever'

When we enter our own world
And the world outside starts to disappear
You make me feel like you don’t know any other
Everyday I ponder the condition of the world.
There is greed, prejudice, hatred, and violence.
