There are very few people - if any - in this world who do not have some form of problems to contend with in their life. Although the extent and nature of these problems will vary hugely from person to person, a problem is always very real to the person who is experiencing it and it is unfair of one person to judge another’s problems in terms of severity in relation to their own. Although each and every problem, in whichever form it may take, is likely to require a different course of action in order to be effectively addressed, there are some common principles which can be applied in almost every instance.
Solving one’s problems effectively begins with analysing the problems. It is imperative to know not only the precise nature of a problem but what may very well be its underlying cause, prior to attempting to rectify the situation. This stage of the procedure often requires calm, rational, analytical thinking in a quiet and restful location and environment. Self-analysis in this respect can prove intimidating to many but it has to be remembered that the perceived root cause of a problem is not always the same as its true origin.
When a problem has been analysed in this fashion and so far as is possible, its true nature established, it then becomes time to decide what is required to be achieved in order to resolve the problem. This is the stage at which one firstly has to define the point which one wishes to reach in order that one may subsequently determine how one is to arrive there. Only by defining very precisely what has to be achieved in order to resolve the problem can an appropriate course of action accurately be established.
The problem identified, the ultimate solution to the problem also determined, that which is frequently the most difficult part of all in problem resolution must then be tackled. It is time now to calculate precisely what actions are required in order to address the problem in a positive and practical fashion in order to banish it from one’s life.
It is important that each and every problem be tackled in this fashion in its own right. Although very often problems will be inter-related, were they identical, they would not be two separate problems. The order in which one tackles one’s individual problems will depend in each case on their severity, the urgency with which they are affecting one’s life and the practical approaches which are required. It should always be remembered in this respect, however, that a problem which remains unaddressed is likely only to get worse and practical and positive action at the earliest juncture is almost always the preferred option.
