New Moon is the second film that has been released in the twilight series, following on from Twilight, which was released last December. These films are based on the 4 books of the same names, written by Stephanie Meyer.

New Moon is directed by Chris Weitz, who has previously done films including "About a Boy" and "The Golden Compass"

In New Moon we re-join main characters Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and Edward Cullen (Rob Pattinson) who, as human and vampire, are managing to continue their romantic relationship, established in the first film, in the small and rainy town of Forks. Bella's 18th birthday has arrived and with that number making her technically one year older than Edward, she is troubled by thoughts of old age and the worry that Edward will not want her when she "looks like a grandmother"

An incident at the Cullen house involving a paper cut later cements in Edward's mind that he will always be putting Bella in danger as long as he and his vampire family are in around. (Vampire law enforcers)

Kirstin Stewart seemed to grab a little more of the sarcastic and silly side that Bella should have and I think the scenes with Jacob really helped this show, leading to a much less irritating performance over all and myself starting to think that maybe she wasn't the worse choice in the world. She just generally seemed more comfortable.

Rob Pattinson who plays Edward is the main focus of the first film but we see him taking a back seat in this movie as he isn't really in a great deal of it, not including flashes in Bella's mind. However, he is still wonderfully handsome and with all his brooding and worrying he gives a good
