Who dies on Grey's Anatomy? The 2 hour 2010 Grey's Anatomy finale was eagerly awaited by McDreamy fans across the nation, and the show did not disappoint. Less than 10 minutes in, Meredith had found out she was pregnant, Torres ignored Arizona, Yang cried over Hunt then pretended she was all cool, and Teddy bit Owen's head off.

Oh, yeah - and the widower who was suing Derek over his wife being taken off life support was stalking the halls, gun in hand, having already put one between Dr Reed's eyes and another in Karev's side. Reed is definitely dead; Karev - unknown.

Cut to commercial break (naturally) - don't worry, however; plenty of goodies still to come, as we know from the trailers, spoilers and clip all over the web. Sure enough, McDreamy's perky assistant (watch out Mere, you know she's after your man) finds Reed dead and runs to tell Derek, who immediately puts Meredith and Cristina in a file room for safekeeping. Like that is going to work.

Webber is getting lunch when he hears about the commotion at Seattle Grace; the SWAT team is being called in, but that doesn't stop Webber from managing to get in with 'his people'. The gunman is primarily after Derek, but also has a beef with Webber and Lexie, who were there when the plug was pulled on his wife.

The second half of the show steps up the action; Derek confronts the gunman who does the anticipated and shoots him. Meredith and Cristina (dynamic duo that they are) whisk Derek off to an OR, where Cristina operates. Meanwhile, Owen and Teddy escape the hospital, and have a confrontation; Teddy demands that he choose between her and Yang and Owen does - running back into the hospital to find Cristina.

The gunman isn't through, however - he has found his way to the OR where he holds a gun to Yang's head ordering her to stop as she operates frantically. Owen intervenes - and of course gets shot. The doctor assisting Yang, inspired, disconnects Derek's monitor to create the impression of a flatline. The gunman leaves, and Cristina goes back to work. Webber has a heart to heart with the out of control widower, who chooses suicide over life in prison.

Recap: Karev, Derek, Owen shot but survive. Doctors Reed and Percy, dead. Mere loses the baby. McDreamy wuvs Meredith, Hunt wuvs Yang, Arizona wuvs Torres (they make up and decide to have a kid).

Next season: Will Meredith handle her loss appropriately, or spiral into depression?
