I know all about workaholics I live with someone who has become just that.My husband works for the railroad and he is on call twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week. This is what they demand. If you are sick and wish to mark off to go to the doctor then you are read a letter and ask if you still wish to mark off.My husband has been working under these circumstances for many years now.He has definitely become a workaholic but not by his choice but by fear of losing his job and his retirement. They are given three repremands and then they are let go.We have two children and he could never be there when something was going on with them.He missed every part of their life all for a job.Now they are grown women with children of their own and they try their best to be there for their children. My oldest one has a job that is very demanding and sometimes I have to remind her that the job will be there but her children will go up and go out on their own.they remember what a workaholic their dad was and is and how it affected their home life.If you have a family and children then you really need to take them into consideration after all it was of your choosing to have them.Workaholics lives passes them by and when they get to old to enjoy it they wonder where their life went and how all the years got by them.So I say to all you workaholics wake up and go a little slower and notice all the things around you. When you look at family pictures when you get older you won't have to wonder where was I when the picture was made.
