Killing a cog in Disney’s ToonTown Online is fun and exciting. Killing a cog requires necessary knowledge and equipment. With the right knowledge and equipment, any toon can kill cogs.
The first bit of knowledge you need is about cogs. Cogs come in different levels, with each level containing a certain amount of health. Weak cogs are generally better for beginners to face than higher level cogs. No beginner should face cogs higher than level 3.
One of the things all toons should have when they fight a cog is a friend. Make sure that your friend is someone on your level who has similar ToonTasks as you. If you knew this person in real life as well as ToonTown, it would be an advantage in the line of communication. It would also be a plus to find someone who has the Toon-Up gag track.
The next thing all toons should know about is gags. There are seven gag tracks but only six can be learned by any one toon. These are the gag tracks and a description:
Toon-Up: This track is used to heal OTHER toons. Many toons like friends with Toon-Up, though a majority of toons prefer to skip out on this track because it has no use when you fight solo. Trap: A gag that does an immense amount of damage but can only be activated with a lure. Many toons prefer other gags to this one because it requires a turn of “passing”. Lure: A track that can put the cog in a position that increases damage done by throw and squirt, activates traps, and keeps the cogs unable to attack until they are attacked. Many toons get this track. Sound: This is the weakest gag, but it attacks all the cogs in the battle. Throw: A gag that’s right in the middle with power and accuracy. You start off with this gag. Squirt: A gag that sacrifices some power for more accuracy. You start off with this gag. Drop: Has immense power with very low accuracy. Many toons don’t take this gag because it has a very low accuracy.
When fighting cogs, make sure you know when to use certain gags. Remember these rules:
Throw and squirt can do extra damage on lured cogs. When multiple cogs are lured, all toons should attack the same one, that way the other cogs will not be able to attack you. Never use sound on a lured cog. Sound removes the lure and doesn’t do bonus damage like throw or squirt would. Try to “follow suit”. Use the same gags as friends to do additional damage. Members can start a garden. Once you start a garden, you can grow your gags. Gags that you grow can
