The time is now the trial is set,
I am on one side; Satan is on the next;
As I stand up to plead my case,
I look over at the devil; there is a smile on his face.
“He thinks he has me”, I thought. “He thinks he’s won.”
He doesn’t know this trial is over, my victory has already begun.
I clear my throat and begin to speak, this is no time to hesitate no time to be weak.
As I, approach the Lord upon his golden bench, I hold tightly to that all important book, I never even flinch.
I open the pages and begin to scroll down. And Satan’s smile quickly turns into a frown.
Dear Lord, justice is what I seek. You promised me peace and happiness, no matter the day or the week.
You have never let me down or lead me astray. It is illegal for the devil to steal my joy away.
Satan cannot take my destiny, this I know, I have faith you will enforce the laws. I have no doubt in this oh Lord, I truly know.
When I return to my seat the Lord nods His head. The devil is in awe over what I just said.
The Lord bangs his gavel and begins to speak. He directs his words to Satan who has become timid and meek.
My child has spoken and he has said only fact, you must release him and all you have stolen, you must give back.
I told you his faith in me would not allow you to destroy and kill, in the end; you also must abide by my perfect will.
You can do no more than what I allow; it is time for this to come to a halt. You must release him now, for it is my name he exalts.
The Lord then looked at me and nothing more needed to be said, he stepped from his throne and laid his hand upon my head.
At that moment, all worries and fears went away. I knew I was victorious; I had won my case today.
