Don't worry, we ALL get dry hair at some point in our lives. it can derive from a number of factors namely: Pregnancy, lack of nutrients in diets, using an immense amount of heat in the hair, a form of trauma, chemical usage, hormonal imbalance and believe me the list goes on. the point is, we all get it, and the best way to treat is by utilizing mother nature's products.
Firstly, a great way to start off is by consuming natural fats that not only nourish your hair but add natural enhancements to your skin's stability. These include, avocado, sesame seeds, almonds, olives, olive oil and fruit. drinking lots of water helps flush out toxins in your body. Green tea is another amazing refreshment that aids in the flushing of toxins.Simultaneously, try cut down on chocolate, coffee fizzy drinks and too much carbohydrates, these facilitate in slowing down and or taking away your body's natural oils.
Another form of maintaining your hair from the roots is by massaging your scalp every time you wash your hair. the best way is to massage in gentle stroking motions right after your set your conditioner in. This facilitates in better blood flow to your head. There is no specific way of massaging, do what you enjoy, as long as your fingers are in direct contact to your scalp. Another quick tip is to brush your hair before you sleep, this spreads the natural oils from your scalp to the ends.
A quick home remedy product also does the trick and should be done at least 3 times a month. All you need is 3 table spoons of olive oil and two tablespoons of honey, mix well and stroke the product through the ends and avoid adding to the scalp, otherwise the hair will become oily, even after you wash and rinse the mask off. Do this before you shampoo your hair and leave in for 15 minutes. this quick remedy not only adds much desired shine, but also, gives an impressive silky feeling in the end.By continuously doing this, your hair will start getting an external nourishment and there wont be any need for paying money to do so in the salon.
Thus the above mentioned are just quick alternatives to your lifestyle and diet, that is not only cheap, but very healthy, not forgetting that not much effort is involved. Fancy salon products may do the trick in the short run, however, if you want to maintain your hair, its best to lean towards mother's natures side, she knows whats good for you!

Unfortunately, there are no "cures" for dry, damaged hair, short of chopping it off. Once the damage is done, it's done.
