How promising the vision
When my eyes are turned within.
A ray of beauty fills the scene
Where despair had always been.
The depths of me is peaceful.
As I look out through these bars.
Even though it's lonesome
I'm amazed I've come this far.
No reason now to be ashamed.
I've asked to be forgiven.
Now that the healing has begun.
When I'm released I can start livin'
In my own way I'll celebrate
Give thanks for what I've got.
Cause even though I'm here alone.
I'm blessed. I've got a lot.
