I went out and it's as if from years of hibernation.
I saw a jogger
fast, keeping an even jogging rhythm.
Globules of perspiration run down on his stoic face.
Why he wants to keep a regimen like that,
could be the result of a passion, wanting, or perhaps
he's maintaining a distance from a genetic disease?
My neighbor hammering yet again
why does he have to have loose ends and parts every-time
tok, tok, tok, it goes on and on again.
it's no music but it's a steady beat.
I will think later that the world is missing a particular sound
the moment the hammering stopped.
That child,
Picked a newly bloomed white flower.
A tiny hand with a child's might grasping right on the blossom
squashing it with a happy face.
I look back.
I saw a familiar smile.
A certain hope.
I heard distant chirping
It could be those birds again.
Their tiny bird toes gripping the electric wires above.
Singing a glee only their aves classification could possibly decipher.
Perhaps one of them has a reason to celebrate
Perhaps it is a national anthem
Perhaps the world is a better place
Perhaps one of them would
accidentally step on an open live wire

Have you, I wonder, ever given a try
to see with your ears and hear through your eyes?
Imagine the sound of
