Oohhh boy... She told me that she had been watching me with Ramsey all day and could tell that I provided a lot of love and care for him.
Well, I had to talk my husband into this one, but we called her back three days later to see if anyone had adopted him yet. She told us that she had received at least a dozen phone calls for him, but she was really holding out to see if we would call. She asked if we'd be willing to bring Ramsey over (because he's the Alpha male of the group) to see how well they'd get along. We agreed it would be a great idea.
Ramsey couldn't have been bothered less by this abominable snow ferret. He sniffed for a second, and then went on to investigate this house we had brought him to. Needless to say, the red-eyed wonder came home with us that day. He came with the name Klaus.
It's been almost a year now since we completed our family of fuzzies. I can tell you in the time that we've had them, we've learned some valuable information. Such as, when you're sleeping, a ferret's nose can fit up a human nostril. A pant leg, even when occupied by a human leg, is a great tunnel to explore! We've also learned never to underestimate them. Don't think they can't do something because they will prove you wrong. If you catch them doing something bad, licks on the nose will wipe your memory clean of any wrong doings. Finally, nothing in the world gives you the feeling of a content sleeping ferret on your belly. Even as I write this, my heart swells with pride of my boys. I wouldn't trade them or the experiences they've given me for anything in the world.
