With the invention of the Internet,Many people have gone online in search for true love. Unfortunately,As much as there are wonderful and caring people in the world,There are also scam artists and cons. A person must be very careful in who they decide to give their trust to,even more so online. Internet relationships are harder because a person only knows what they are being told and nothing more. Before jumping in to that on line relationship,Here are a few tips that can help save someone from having not only a empty wallet, but also,A broken heart.
The first thing to keep in mind is that since this is the Internet, You don't know for certain if people are telling the truth unless you investigate their claims. If they are a truthful person,They should have no problem in answering your questions regarding their general location and their relationship status. They should also be willing and ready to do things like use their web camera in order to show you that they are who they say they are. A web camera is not expensive. Most are included on computers today. If a person shies away or gets offended by the things you ask of them,That is a red flag instantly.Do not ever blame yourself for wanting to protect yourself and ensure you are not being lied to. If the person you're interested in online is truthful,There should be no problem in the requests you're making of them.
The second thing to remember is to watch out for displays of anger, manipulation, and pressure to control you. If something feels wrong at any time about the Internet relationship that you're in chances are good that something really is wrong. Just like in a real relationship, shy away from people who are manipulating, abusive, threatening or controlling in any manner towards you or other people around you in a chat room.
The third thing to remember is avoid people who are trying to pressure you in to cybersex. Chances are this person is a professional at trying to get people into engaging in sexual acts with them on line. They may also be having affairs on a significant other at home. If you're looking for more than a casual relationship,Stay away from these type of people. It will save you so much heartbreak in the end.
The fourth thing to keep in mind is inconsistent behavior. Note any changes they make in the things they tell you about themselves and their lives. If they consistently keep avoiding direct questions from you,That should always send up a red flag in your mind.
If you do decide to take the relationship off the Internet and move to phone conversations with them. Pay close attention if they require you to call them at certain times and if they require you to page them before calling them. Ask them for a phone number and be suspicious if they give you a cell phone number only or If they will only call you but won't allow you to have a phone number.Call during odd times. Check their public records on Goggle to ensure they don't have a wife at home they aren't telling you about.
Finally, Remember that there is nothing wrong in falling in love, but It's also very important to protect yourself completely before rushing in and trusting somebody completely. What's true in real life is even more true in Internet relationships. Protect yourselves out there. It's always better to be safe than sorry.
