The first time I saw Kelloggs Nutri-grain bars was at the nursery where I bring my elder one. They don’t feed the kids with it but it is put in a basket near the entrance with a huge label that the adults should have breakfast too, so we can take one of those bars if we had no breakfast. I tried one and I became addict to them.
They come in a box of 8 or 12 in the supermarkets and you can buy them individually too. The box of 8 bars costs 1 pound in Tesco. They are cheap in multipack and very tasty. You can find them in most of the supermarkets.
The golden crust is made with wheat and wholegrain oats and is filled with apple. The bar itself is soft and you can feel the scent of the oat quite dominantly. Then you bite a little bit and you can feel the taste of the apple in your mouth. It is really delicious and quite healthy. It contains calcium and loads of other vitamins too.
You know when I see those advertisements in the TV telling that you can have a bar of this or that and work until lunchtime I don’t really believe them. Since I have this nutri-grain bar I can manage for 2-3 hours which is really good in the morning rush. So I eat a nutria-grain bar and feed the kids (hard task because they need to be entertained continuously to eat something) then I dress them up (they are fighting against it) then drive to the nursery with two kids and leave there only the elder one. After we are at home I play a little bit with the younger one and probably have some time to eat something. So as you can see my mornings are quite busy and the nutri-grain bar is really good as it can be eaten quickly, it is delicious and is a healthy option. When I have some time for myself I eat normal breakfast.
The ingredients of the apple filled nutria-grain bars are as follows: Cereals (34%) (Wheat Flour, Whole Oats, Wheat Bran), Glucose-Fructose Syrup, Apple Puree from Concentrate (8%), Sugar, Vegetable Oil, Humectant (Glycerol), Maltodextrin, Honey, Dextrose, Stabilisers (Sodium Alginate, Cellulose, Xanthan Gum, Carrageenan, Locust Bean Gum), Calcium Carbonate, Modified Starch, Dried Skimmed Milk, Salt, Flavourings, Cinnamon, Raising Agent (Potassium Hydrogen Carbonate), Malic Acid, Calcium Phosphate, Citric Acid, Colour: (Caramel, E150c), Emulsifiers (E472e, E471, Soy Lecithin), Wheat Gluten, Starch, Niacin, Iron, Vitamin B6, Riboflavin (B2), Thiamin (B1), Folic Acid, Vitamin B12.
Each bar weights 37g and they contain 131 kcal energy, 12 g sugar, 3.5 g fat, 0.3 g salt. These bars are suitable for vegetarians. It contains milk, soy, wheat and oats.To sum up, the apple filled nutri-grain bars are really delicious golden oat bars with apple filling. You can see the picture of the bar on the packaging. They are cheap in multipack and you can always have one of them in the car or in your bag. So they are handy and keep you moving for 2-3 hours until you can get some normal food. I really love them and I can recommend them.
