Fight for country fight a war
No way I know what is in store
Get a job and find some work
Not for me I rather shirk
I have children by women unwed
Marry them no I'll stay single instead
Pay them child support surely you joke
I'm on welfare it would leave me broke
My parents suspect that I'm on drugs
Police question them and are met with shrugs
They haven't seen me for many a year
And they couldn't care less is what I hear
So if someone wants to to go to war
Let him
And if someone wants to work until seventy four
Let him
So if someone wants to marry for the rest of their life
Let him
And battle a mortgage have children live in constant strife
Let him
So if someone avoids hard drugs but dies from smoking and beer
Let him
And if I'm sent to prison and someone wants to cheer
Let him
Now let him look at me and ponder my worth
For we were once both equal at birth
Let him live his life and mine as we see fit
For we both become equal again when our lives are quit

He is young and can make all the mistakes

let him,
When he takes you in his arms,
let him.
When he asks if he can embrace you,
