From the moment your baby arrives in this world he or she is beginning to learn. Many people form an automatic connotation with early childhood education and some sort of formal daycare or child development center outside of the home. Many parents do in fact choose this option for their children to experience a daily structured education through teachers and other children. However, a child is going to learn whether they are in a structured setting or if the parents choose to stay home and teach their child until they reach the school age.

Your baby's ability to learn begins on day one. They are taking in everything in their vast new world. They will lean in their own unique way from everything you introduce to them. Many times you may not even realize that you are in fact introducing something new. Everything is new to your child. When you choose to let your baby attend a daycare or development center they will be a part of group of children their age. Teachers are trained to help the children develop through many different sensory methods at the aappropriate level. Again this is only one option because they are going to learn regardless of the environment they are in.

Some parents choose to keep their baby at home at teach them. Your baby will have many environments to learn and explore when this is the choice that is made. You will take your child to the market, the bank, the parks, the zoo and everywhere you will go on a daily basis. Many parents will enroll their child into a weekly play group to introduce them to other children. Some parents will open their home to the play groups or develop a network of stay at home parents to establish a line of support for each other to help in the early childhood education of each one's child. Our society and many diverse cultures offer a endless range of possibilities for parents to offer their child the very important early childhood educational structures and environments.

The most important aspect of the early childhood education process is understanding that the new baby is learning every minute of every day. Introduction should be focused on the child and the developmental stage they are in. Observation is key for any parent or teacher to assess the stages and needs of the child as their needs change so very quickly. Developmental milestones such as rolling and sitting up will lead into crawling and pulling up. Other things will also happen during these major accomplishments such eating solids and learning how to play with and use many different tools and toys. Language skills wills develop as well as the outward development of choices and decision making process.Early childhood education is so very important for many reasons, no one reason being more important than the other.
