I Hate Maths
It finally happened ! Ben finally wanted me to go out on a date with him. But I had to turn him down. I can hardly believe I turned him down. Aaargh ! I could kill myself for turning him down.I had been plotting and scheming and dropping ‘ subtle hints’ for a month now to get Ben to ask me out on a date and when he does I have to refuse him. How ironical but I really had no choice.I have Maths homework and there is no way I could go out tonight.Maths, Oh how I hate Maths !I really do not understand why we have to study Maths. I could understand if all we had to study was arithmetic but what good are the really complex alegebra problems is beyond me.
I find Maths to be the most tedious subject. The only thing I enjoy in my Maths class is Mrs Banerjee’s singing. She often in the middle of the class starts to sing ” Que Sera Sera” and expects us to join in . I enjoy the singing because I imagine Ben by my side, getting married having kids , leading an idyllic life.Mrs Banerjee is quite a slave driver too and she finds a lot of sadistic pleasure in giving us loads of homework. She watches me like a hawk after the prank I played on Teacher;s Day. I managed to get itching powder and sprinkled it on her chair She kept scratching herself and it was quite amusing to watch. It got serious when she complained to the Principal and I got suspended for a week for playing a harmless prank. My parents were absolutely livid with me and I had to sit and listen to an hour’s lecture of how teachers should always be treated with respect , blah ,blah, blah
The worst part is Mrs Banerjee herself cannot solve the problems she gives us for homework and is always looking towards Sandhya to help her out. Generally Sandhya works out the difficult problems on the blackboard and we copy it down in our notebooks.. I used to copy for Ben too , just so he would come to like me. He really is the dishiest guy in our class. All my efforts have come to this. I had to turn Ben down and now he is going out with my arch rival Sarah while I sit and do Maths homework. The irony is I have to do Ben’s homework too as he asked me if I could do his homework for him and I couldnt refuse. How I hate Maths!
