Being single is a choice thank goodness and being happy...well, happiness is a state of mind. If you're not happy with yourself, being married or single, won't make a difference.

There are however several things about being single and happy at the same time, that are advantageous.

*Being single and happy means that you can have a fella over to dinner, have fun and then know at the end of the evening, you'll be happy to see him leave.

*Being single and happy means that you can go out to a nightclub, dance with everybody and be happy that you don't have to answer to anybody when you get home.

*Being single and happy means you can spend your entire paycheck on clothes if you want to and be happy that you're not paying somebody else's bills.

*Being single and happy means that you can ask anybody you want to to go to your sisters wedding with you and be happy it's not you saying the 'vows'.

*Being single and happy means you don't have to: cook, clean, do laundry, shower or shave your legs if you don't want to.

*Being single and happy means you can date anybody, anytime and don't have to meet their parents.

*Being single and happy means that if you have a cat or dog, you don't have to worry if someone is allergic or not.

*Being single and happy means that you don't have to pick up his dirty socks from the kitchen chair, his undershorts from the floor next to the laundry hamper, the soggy, wet washcloth sitting on the edge of the sink dripping water on the floor, and constantly putting the lid down on the toilet.

*Being single and happy means you don't have to listen to him belch and pull the covers over your head while he farts.

Guys, I'm not picking on you because for you to be single and happy encompasses many things as well.

*Being single and happy means you can buy a new set of golf clubs instead of your entire paycheck going to her clothes, make-up and jewelry.

*Being single and happy means the guys can come over for poker night and you're not relegated to the basement or garage.

*Being single and happy means you and the boys can go clubbing without someone squealing on you to a significant other.

*Being single and happy means you can wear the same clothes for several days in a row if you want to and the lid stays up on the loo.

*Being single and happy means you can belch, fart and scratch places anytime you want without being reprimanded.

Yes, being single and happy has its rewards, it's just a question of how long you can keep it that way.
