I personally do not play games on Xbox 360. But my children do and they love it. Their favorite game is Halo. My 20 year old twins each have their own TV hooked to their own Xbox 360 console and they are totally hooked on Halo 3 on Xbox 360.
After a trip to Wal-mart with my husband last month I have decided to purchase another Xbox 360 for our TV. While shopping with my family, my children showed my husband the Xbox 360 game Ice Age and got my husband hooked. Ice age is one of our favorite cartoons along with Scooby-do coming in at number 1. Ice-Age is very entertaining xbox 360 game and great for children of all ages.
Now as I sit here writing this my mind is stuck on the Blame Halo song by James at War my sons introduced me to his You Tube video. James at War has such a nice relaxing voice and the song is so true to life, the video is also extremely funny. I think the makers of Halo, Bungie and Microsoft game studios should recruit him for their advertising. But if the truth got out it might hurt their sales, because Halo is so addicting the player thinks of nothing else but playing and when off the game they are thinking when and how they can get back on it. So potential buyers might think twice before they buy their child, boy friend or husband the game, because no chores would ever get done as long as the game was on.
Once someone gets hooked on Halo they usually stay hooked. After you purchase the game console and Halo 3 game turn on your console and look at the world map and how lit up it is to see how many people are playing the Halo game right then live on the internet. Today is Saturday May 15, 2010 and there are 149,368 players on-line playing Halo 3 alone as I write this, and that is not including any other games being played.
On the back of the cover of the Halo 3 game case cover it states quote: “The stunning conclusion to the Halo trilogy. The covenant controls Earth, the all-consuming Flood is unleashed and the fate of the galaxy hangs in the balance. An ancient secret, buried under the sands of Africa for untold millennia may hold the key to our salvation or our doom. Spartan-117, the Master Chief, a biologically augmented super-soldier, must uncover that secret and stop the forces that threaten us once and for all. He is the last of his kind, a warrior born for combat, bred for war and humanity's only hope.” unquote.
Halo 3 is a very addictive first person shooter game. You can play by your self against the game or with another player beside you, or get on-line and go up against the world. By playing on-line you will experience different changes in the game due to the many different people you are playing against. It is rated M for Mature 17+ because of the blood, language and violence in the game. You might not want younger children playing this game on-line for the language of the other players, some are very sore losers, and speak in profanities against the other players.
There is a two disc special edition animated movie called Halo Legends that has seven short stories about the Halo universe and humankind’s ongoing battles. By watching this movie it helps you to understand the story of the game.
There are many games that came from the original Halo 1; they are Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo ODST, Halo Wars and Halo Reach coming out soon. At our house Halo 3 played on the Xbox 360 console is the best Xbox game there is on earth, and what makes it best is because it is an action-packed first person shooter game. If you don't believe me just ask one of my kids, they have been playing Halo for 9 years and are on-line playing live now.
